The Mentos global Facebook and Instagram pages made up the second largest account held by the social media team at BBH MK. The Facebook page alone had amassed some 11.5 million fans by the time I left the company, with territories covered including the UK, Brazil, Australia, the US, and India.
When I started at BBH, the brand was lacking a concrete look and feel on social. Over the course of the next year, my colleagues and I experimented with a range of different posts in order to boost engagement. One of the themes we explored was hand drawn illustrations on individual dragées with posts used to mark different milestones throughout the year, including Halloween and Christmas.
